OBJECTIVE

Bishop Nehru came to The Syndicate for publicity services in releasing Nehruvia: My Disregarded Thoughts. We were tasked with popularizing the twelfth project from the artist, already a decade into his career at age 23. A daunting mission to erase preconceived notions while also validating previous praise for a child prodigy still trying to break through to a new level.


EXECUTION

The initial launch of the campaign in Fall 2019 was halted due to managerial disputes, so we then had to start again in Spring 2020. Our team helped spearhead the rollout plan and single selection for the project with a May 8 release. 


IMPACT

The campaign was tremendously successful, garnering press coverage and accolades from PitchforkThe FADERHYPEBEASTConsequence of SoundRevolt and Brooklyn VeganNPR Music called it, “Next level… emanating from multiple eras at once in a really interesting way” and FLOOD said, "Nehruvia: My Disregarded Thoughts displays his evolution as a rapper and as a human."  Bandcamp concluded, “Nehruvia: My Disregarded Thoughts, feels like a coming-of-age project—an album that ushers in the next phase of Nehru’s artistic development, while respectfully nodding to his already significant musical history.”
